I have a HP camera. It takes pictures as well as video. I got it years ago as a present and I don't have any instructions. I have taken several videos using the camera, but I can only view them on the SD card. I can take the SD card to the store to get the pictures printed and put it on a CD, but it doesn't even show me the video that was saved unless I'm using my camera to view it. Does anyone know how I can save these videos to a CD so I can always have them. I have a video of my 99 year-old Great Grandmother on one of the SD cards and she died a year ago Sunday. It would be great to get a copy of it instead of it always being on a SD card. Please help if you can. Thanks in advance.
How do I get video off my SD card to a DVD or computer?
You need either a card reader, which you put the card in and then insert in your usb slot on your PC. Or a usb cable that attaches to your camera. Both are cheap and easy to find.
Reply:There are a few steps you need to take. First copy everything on the card to your computer. Next look at each file to make sure they were not corrupted during the copying process.
If you right click on the video file, you will be able to open it with a program that is on your computer. If you are successful, then make a CD or DVD of the files and try running the video from the CD or DVD using the same program.
That should do it.
