What is a suitable SD card for my digital camera?
You may as well get a 4GB card as they are so cheap these days if you buy from a cheap supplier... http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electron...
Reply:One gig is fine, but, if you can afford it, why not go ahead and get the two gig?
Reply:A 12mp camera is gonna use a lot of memory per photo. So you want to at least get a 1 gig SD card. Most digital cameras use SD cards, some use others, so it just depends on the model camera u have. But u want to shoot for at least 1 gig. A good 1 gig SD card will run u no more then $30
Reply:Apart from going for the largest capacity card. Do you really need to take photos at 12mp?

Your camera should give you the option to take photos at a lower resolution, which would work out less expensive in the long run.
Reply:Go to a photo shop; ask experts; read the manual!

They will want to know make, model, year etc.

No-one on YA can help you without this info.

Some cameras will only accept small capacity memory cards.
Reply:do not think at all about 1 gig. minimum 2 or 4 if you can afford. but watch it my adult daug knackered mine in when transfering on to comp and she is supp to know about comps.
Reply:Probably 1gb for 12 mega pixels. My camera is only 7.2 and 1gb can get me around 320 photos. 12 needs a lot more space.
Reply:If you shop around you can get a 2 gig SD for under $25. I just got one at Best Buy. Buy 2 if you can afford it, that should be plenty.
