Is simpletech a good brand for SD memory cards?

I bought a simpletech 1GB SD memory card for a present, should I keep it or should I get a different brand? Are all SD memory card brands the same?

Their basically all the same, people just pay more because they trust the brand their buying into, me I buy the cheapest for all media-cards are the same quality.
