Micro SD Cards: Other than the amount of data they hold, aren't all Micro SD Cards the same?

I notice on ebay, they are being sold for specifc items, ie. a Samsung phone uses this one, a Motorola phone uses another. I really did think an sd card was just that an sd card, same with a Micro sc card or a flash card.

Only thing that differs is the actual physical size and the formatting of SD media. Micro DS are all the same short of having them formatted for a specific device. GOOD LUCK!
Reply:some have different read/write speeds but for the most part its just that name brands have more reliability of the card not going bad or somthing like that





personaly ive always used scandisk....it might cost a little more but if the card ever goes down ill either get a replacement card within about a week or a gift certificate for the ammount i payed for the card.........good custimer service was worth the extra 15$$ to me
Reply:Ya they are all the same. They just tell you what they fit and put in keywords so when you search for a phone, you see the accesories. The quality might not all be the same but an SD card for a phone and an SD card for a camera is the same SD card. But most phones use micro SD.
