How big do SD cards get? (gig wise)?

I bought a 2 gig SD card for my digital camera....for $18.


When I bought the camera nearly 1.5 years ago, I paid $35 for a half gig SD card!

Regular SD cards go up to 4gb. SDHC cards go up to 8gb. There are some limitations to what sizes devices will recognize, however. And you will have to check if devices accept SDHC cards.
Reply:the biggest ive seen is 8GB, but im sure if you searched you could find a gov. use one like 12gb

Reply:like the other answerer said they get to around 8gigs. I haven't seen a 10+ gig card yet but i have heard that they are in development.
