What are the SD memory cards and what is the difference between them and the USB flash memory?

Agreed. SD cards are used in still cameras, movie cameras, phones, mp3 players, lots of stuff - for memory for storing images, video, and music. USB drives aare portable data storage for computers. You can get little adapters that turn an SD card into a USB drive. The bonus with SD cards is that there's a tiny switch that you can use to make it read-only - so you can't accidentally erase anything on the card. Also many cameras with USB cords are only USB1 and getting the pictures off will be much faster with a USB2 card adapter than using the camera cord.

SD memory are little cards, that are mostly found in digital camera's, while the other of flash drives, they plug into the USB ports of your computer, basically the replacement to what the floppy drive was.
