Writing photos to an SD card but camera will not recognise them?

I have copied photos from an SD card into my computer, edited them, and written them back to a different, empty, SD card. The computer will display them from this second card OK but none of the cameras I have tried the card in (Samsung, Cnon and Panasonic) will recognise that there are photos on the card.

I am doing this incidentally in order to be able to easily display to colleagues the edited photos.

Any suggestions as to what the answer might be?

Writing photos to an SD card but camera will not recognise them?
It will not work.

Just burn a CD and show your images on your notebook computer ... it has a larger screen and very thing

Cameras do not "see" image files that have been modified in any way. If it could see a non-original image, the image file would have to be placed in the right file folder on the memory card and named using the same syntax as the camera does.

I have switched CF cards from different model of the same camera brand and the camera does not see any images from the other camera ... only the ones taken by the camera which is holding the card.
