because i keep adding WMA format music into my 1gb micro sd card, but it doesn't show on my phone. just the music MP3 format. so, i wanna know if this is normal. do micro SD's accept WMA format music?

Are micro sd cards wma compatible?
To an extent, this depends on the phone or music player. But it's also important to install the music correctly. If you're dealing with regular MP3, no DRM, you can usually just copy the music over, like dragging it to the memory card. To install protected WMAs, you pretty much have to use Windows Media Player to sync it (or possibly a program designed specifically for that phone)... this is part of the WMA DRAM procedure.

Aside from that, I don't know of any reason the micro-SD card would not support DRMed WMA files itself. I know this was an issue on the Sandisk Sansa, but I think it was due to the player itself (it also didn't support video files on micro-SD). It would seem awfully deceptive, too, if your phone claims to support WMA with DRM, yet only does that from internal memory.

I would first try to ensure that I installed it properly. Also, make sure you have the right files... there are more than one flavor of DRMed WMA files. These can be purchased files for "Plays for Sure" systems, "rented" files for one of the "monthly fee" services, they can be for Zune, etc. Some forms of this may very well NOT work on your phone, period.

As an experiment, try installing the file in the phone's internal memory, then if that works, use the same procedure for the SD card.
Reply:If the WMA files are protected, you can't see them or you need to remove the protection.

Use a DRM converter to remove the protection, then have a try.

You can free download this to have a try.

Hope it helps.
