I recently purchased a Canon SD800is digital camera. This model is actually about a year old, but its still on the market and I just bought it new last month. I am currently using a 2GB SD memory card but would like to know what is the maximum size card this camera is compatible with. I think SD cards are up to 8GB now.

Reply:You will have to call Canon's hot line.
There is no way to tell other than buying the card and seeing if it will work.
My friend has a Canon Rebel that is over a year newer than my old Nikon D100. His will not take a card over 2GB, yet the Nikon uses the 4GB cards with no problem. So, as you can see the age of the camera cannot be counted on to determine its ability to use higher capacity cards
