How can I get the music on my micro sd card to play as ringtones on my phone?

I have the music on my micro sd card and i cannot find how to get the songs to be used as ringtones. I have a LG AX260 scoop. I am also having problems using audio that has been sent in pic messages to be used as ringtones. I have had LG phones for years and all have been capable of doing this. Did they change something?!?!?!? Please help

Reply:unfortunatly you can't the card does not see the songs as ringtones it will only see them as mp3s to play in the media player. you might try saving them to a different folder on your memory card but that i'm aware of it is not an option
