Can I use my MMC card with my camera which only has an SD card slot?

I know that the SD cards are thinner, so will the MMC card work in the SD card slot? My camera is Canon.

Can I use my MMC card with my camera which only has an SD card slot?
Yes your two cameras can both accept MM cards.

However, you will find that SD cards are available in greater capacities such as 1GB, 2GB or higher.

Its best to use a fast and reliable SD card (Sandisk Ultra II or Exteme III which have a lifetime warranty)

because these cameras require fast cards for faster write times...and also when you shoot 'movies'.
Reply:No, MMC will not work nor is there an adapter. You'll need to purchase an SD card. SD cards are the most versatile. I use one card between my camera, MP3 and my computer which has a card reader. So if you do buy one, at least you can use it for a few things. They also make a USB connector which you can use for the SD card that converts into a flash drive. Check Target, Walmart of go on eBay for a SD card. I recommend at least a 1GB SD. Remember, this higher the megapixels your camera, the more memory it's gonna take to store photos at the highest resolution. Good Luck!
Reply:Nope, they are not compatible with one another.
Reply:Some devices can use both SD and MMC cards. In the users manual for the Canon A510/A520, this a table that shows the estimated capacity of the memory cards - and there was a column for a 16MB MMC card. So, may be your camera can also use MMC cards.

To be sure, I suggest you check with the users manual for your particular model. You can download the users manual from Canon's support website:
