I was wondering, because I wanted to see about downloading game saves for gamecube games and transferring them from SD card to gamecube memory cards. Is this possible?

Well, if you have a Gamecube Memory card with a USB dongle, you could do that on your PC, but that makes the SD Card part kind of pointless.
As for the Wii, no. It keep the Gamecube Memory Card slots completely disconnected from the internal memory and SD card slot.
